Dear Hillside Huskie Families, 

I hope you were all able to enjoy a long and family filled Thanksgiving Weekend.  Truly, it is hard to believe that we are rolling in to December.  Below you will find some updates and reminders.  

Updates and Reminders 

Student Drop Off and Pick Up 

Please do remember students are not to be dropped off and left unsupervised before 8:10 am in the morning.  Pets are not allowed at drop off or pick as pets are not allowed on campus.  We want to keep everyone safe and really appreciate your help in that process. 

Report Cards coming home December 8 

Please expect to be looking for your child to bring home their report cards on December 8, 2023.   

Awards Assembly 

Our next awards assembly will be Friday, December 1, at 8:30 am.  The trait is Safety.  Your child’s teacher will be in touch with you if your child is receiving an award if they have not already.   

Next Spirit Day 

Our next spirit day will be December 22 and the theme is Winter clothing, hats, scarves, winter sweaters, boots and gloves, etc.   

Highly Capable Program Nominations 

Clover Park School District is now accepting nominations for its Highly Capable Program until Dec. 15 for the 2024-25 school year. Students may be nominated by a parent, teacher, community member or themselves. 

Electronic forms are available in English and Spanish and may be accessed by clicking the following form, 2023-2024 Highly Capable Nomination Form. To request a blank nomination form, please visit the Hillside’s main office. All forms and supporting documentation must be received by Dec. 15.

2024 Replacement Levy 

Clover Park School District will have a four-year Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy for voter consideration in the 2024 special election on Feb. 13. The Replacement Levy continues our community’s investment in our students and will continue essential funding beyond state basic education to support student readiness, safety and security, educational technology and extracurricular programs. Walk With Us in the Lakewood Holiday Parade Saturday, Dec. 9! 

Join CPSD as we walk in the city of Lakewood's Holiday Parade of Lights on Saturday, Dec. 9! This is a great opportunity to show your school (and district) pride. Wear your school swag and festive attire and walk with your school along the full parade route, which runs from Colonial Plaza to City Hall. Arrive to the staging area by 4 p.m. at the Colonial Plaza parking lot on Motor Avenue in downtown Lakewood.
